What is Gamunex?

Gamunex-C is an FDA-approved immune globulin (IVIG) therapy used to treat various immune and neurological conditions. It is primarily prescribed for:

  • Primary Immunodeficiency (PI): A group of disorders where the body cannot produce enough antibodies, making patients more susceptible to infections.
  • Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP): A neurological disorder that leads to progressive weakness and impaired nerve function due to chronic inflammation.
  • Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP): An autoimmune condition where the body attacks its platelets, leading to excessive bruising and bleeding.
