What is Omvoh?

Omvoh (mirikizumab-mrkz) is a biologic medication approved for the treatment of moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease (CD) in adults. It functions by targeting the interleukin-23p19 (IL-23p19) protein, a key contributor to intestinal inflammation, thereby reducing inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. The treatment regimen begins with intravenous (IV) infusions during the induction phase, followed by subcutaneous injections for maintenance therapy.
